Laura Lentz
Artist. Teacher. Leader
Laura is a Bay Area actress and teaching artist. Laura currently holds a BA in Theatre Arts as well as AAs in Music and Theatre Arts. Acting credits include The Addams Family, Into the Woods, Marisol, Stage Door, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Beauty and the Beast, and Guys and Dolls.
As a multi-faceted musician, Laura has experience both as a vocalist and an instrumentalist. She attended Amador Valley High School where she was a part of the choir, drama, and band programs. She played flute and piccolo in Amador’s marching band for four years and was in Amador’s top instrumental ensemble Wind Ensemble I. With this group, Laura has had the opportunity to perform all around the Bay Area, participating in music festivals. During her time in Wind Ensemble I, the ensemble performed at the California All-State Music Education Conference. The group has also traveled to New York City to participate in the Distinguished Concerts in New York Concert performing at the prestigious Carnegie Hall. At Las Positas College, Laura was an active participant in all three choirs the college had to offer and served as section leader in all of the groups in her 2.5 years in attendance. During her time at San José State University, Laura held an officer position for the Anti-Club Theatre Club. In this position, she worked as the club's publicist as well as music director for a variety of performances.
Laura currently works as the senior recreation leader for the Pleasanton Youth Theatre Company. In this position, Laura works as a director, vocal director, and stage manager raising the next generation of theatre artists. Additionally, Laura is a teaching artist with SPARC's So Wise So Young Program where she educates Livermore's second graders on the brilliance of Shakespeare.
When she is not performing, Laura can be found working on a new crochet project, reading, spending time with loved ones, and of course, snuggling with her furry friends Karma and Opal.
